We used Charles for a food and drink photo shoot for Resorts World Birmingham across several bars and restaurants and we were thrilled with the images we received . His attention to detail and the skill and effort he puts in to getting the perfect shot each and every time makes his work outstanding. The vibrancy and detail of each image makes the food jump out of the picture and captures every little bit of colour and texture. Charles is also set apart by the fact that he really takes on board the commercial brief. My startup needed photographs of our new conference and presenter TV trolley range and on recomendation we spent a day with Charlie to get the images for our print and website requirements. We used the morning to get all of the cut out shots of our products at the state of the art studio in Earls Barton followed by an afternoon at a local hotel to get on location shots. Charlie listend to our requirements and was very quick to produce the excellent results delivered.

I have used Charles on several occasions as a client so when an opportunity arose to create a 'mini studio' based around product photography, there really was only one choice. Charlie was engaged from moment one and hugely responsive to every question and concern. We were invited to his studio so we could understand how we could create a very similar setup, albeit on a smaller scale. He graciously introduced us to partners he has used for many years to help us better create a workflow, all of whom, treated us like old friends. Having prepared us a detailed spec list with justification for his choices, he also showed us areas we could save money and areas where it would be a false economy. He helped us source all the kit, even taking into consideration our wish to support other local companies for the supply where possible. Finally, he helped us 'set up' the studio and gave us expert tuition in creating a 'workflow' that worked for us and all delivered in an engaging way that left us feeling informed, rather than overwhelmed. It is rare for me to write a review because most companies these days just do 'enough' but it is more than fair to say, Charlie truly went above and beyond. Charlie very kindly invited a group of amateur photographers from the Aperture Photography Group (APG), to have a tour of his commercial studio. We were given an in-depth demonstration on taking food photography in daylight and footwear using flash. Charlie could not have been more generous with his time and sharing of his wealth of knowledge. Charlie encourage questions and his enthusiasm for his work was infectious. The attention to detail was evident in all he does, spending time with the smallest of detail, making sure the colour of the product was truly accurate and the product stood out with clarity. Charles Ward took our wedding photos 10 years ago, and made an incredible experience a constant reminder through the high quality photographs he took. We struggled to pick the best ones ... Recently I required professional photographs, and we asked for family pictures with our 3yr old son.
